Hollywood Grooming Giving Back...October is “Adopt A Shelter Dog” Month. Hollywood Grooming is providing a free grooming per day at The Amanda Foundation and West Los Angeles Animal Shelter. As we’ve noticed a clean, groomed dog has a much higher chance of being adopted, we are grooming the pups that are up for adoption to look their very best, in hopes for a speedy adoption. HOLLYWOOD PETS HELPING KIDS:Hollywood Grooming, LA's premier mobile pet grooming company, officially launches Hollywood Pets Helping Kids for the summer of 2009. This latest humanitarian effort is the brainchild of Chuck Rubin, owner and operator of the renowned pet grooming company, which has been voted best in Los Angeles by LA Magazine. After personally volunteering their time at orphanages and children's shelters around the world, Chuck, together with his wife Yael and two daughters Danielle and Lia, decided that it was now time for Hollywood pets to lend a helping paw to less fortunate kids. "We love kids so much that we've decided to organize a special summer charity event that will involve our equally beloved pets.” said Rubin. “For the entire month of August, we will give $3 of our profit from each pet we groom.” Rubin choose two organizations to support: “Tree of life” orphanage in Thailand and “Friends of Ramana's Garden” in India. Rubin's decision to support these two centers came after he and his family had began to develop a special bond with the children ... “after spending time with these children, I knew that they deserved the gift of a brighter future,” said Rubin. He also encourages everyone to visit the orphanage homes’ respective websites, and see how they can continue to help by donating much needed sponsorship that help sustain operating costs to keep these care centers open to the public.
